Effect of Wrapped Liquid on IR Extinction Characteristics of Graphite Spheres
|
Abstract:
In this paper, the basic theory of the light scattering of spheres and concentric microspheres is described in detail. These two theoretical models are used to calculate the mass extinction coefficients of grapphite spheres, the grapphite spheres wrapped by diesel oil and the grapphite spheres wrapped by water. The calculation results show that when grapphite spheres are wrapped by water, their infrared extinction performance will be degraded;when they are wrapped by diesel oil, their infrared extinction performance will be improved depending on the wavelength. But if the amount of diesel oil wrapped on graphite spheres is beyond a certain range, the infrared extinction performance of graphite spheres would be degraded.
