Mass Stopping Power and Range of Alpha Particles in Biological Human Body (Water and Eye Lens Tissue)

Arwa Alshibel, Khalda T. Osman
We used the MATLAB Program to calculate the mass stopping power and range of alpha particles in biological human body tissues (such as water and the eye lens tissues) at energies between 0.2 and 200 MeV. The Bethe Block formula was used to calculate the mass stopping power, and the simple integration (continuous slowing down approximation) method was used to calculate the alpha particle ranges. Empirical formulae were developed to determine mass-stopping power and ranges of water and eye lens ti...

The Wave Theory Principles of Human Motion

Feng Wen, Yabin Peng, Hongfei Li, Sanming Hu, Kai Liu, Ganming Li
This paper presents a meticulous analysis of the alterations in the human body’s center of gravity and static friction during movement. The objective is to comprehend the autonomous locomotion of the human body without external propulsion or tension. A wave theory model is proposed to elucidate the fundamental process of human motion on the ground. By considering one foot as a fulcrum, the other foot functions as a lever, generating torque and propelling the forward movement of the human body. T...

Calculation of Radon (Fluid) Precursors of Tectonic Earthquake

Igor Petrovich Dobrovolsky
On the Earth’s surface the continuous flow of fluids (different gases) is observed. During the preparation of an earthquake, there is the deformation of the environment which changes mass transfer conditions, and changes of this flow arise. These changes are perceived as earthquake precursor. It is the simplest to watch such variations on the flow of the radioactive gas of radon. In work calculation of this precursor in the two-phase environment is made.

Polarized Phase Holograms of High Diffraction Efficiency

Stephen Maina Njoroge, Dickson Mwenda Kinyua
Holography has a wide application in medicine, optical computers, scanners among others. Conventional studies on analogue holograms have mainly been conducted on image generation, processing and reconstruction. However, these conditions may vary thus affecting hologram quality. Since convection holography uses photosensitive recording interference patterns in holographic material, there is a need to evaluate aberration or how high intensity of light has been reconstructed. In this paper, we anal...

Assessment of Radiation Risk from Selected Telecommunication Base Station in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, Nigeria

Blessing Okeoghene Ijabor, Augustine Onyema Nwabuoku, Victoria Chioma Izediunor, Chibuzor Cynthia Odene, Ivie Agbonaye, Elizabeth Chioma Ebite, Chineye Salvation Elumeshike
Exposure of humans to electromagnetic radiations emanating from the antenna of telecom masts and its health effects on humans have been a subject matter for many scientists today. In Ogwashi-Uku, there is no documented literature or generally accepted findings on the health effects of exposure to effects of electromagnetic radiations from the antenna of telecom masts which may be a result of studies not exceeding the world’s permissible limits. This study, therefore, seeks to evaluate the extent...

AUAG Machining Mechanism and Experimental Study of SiN Brittle Materials

Chunfang Xiao
In this paper, it is studied that the processing mechanism of SiN brittle material in Axial Ultrasound Vibration Assisted Grinding. Search for the relationship between machine tool system and ultrasonic system in AUAG machining, and establish the mathematical model of system matching. The importance of system matching for AUAG machining is verified by the influence of ultrasonic parameters on grinding force and workpiece surface quality. I verify the correctness of the theory. The matching model...

A Note on Surface Integrals of Vector Fields

Zhengyuan Wei, Xiaoya Zhou, Jinrong Jiang
Surface integrals of vector fields play an important role in the solutions of natural science and physical science. The Gauss theorem reduces the difficulty of directly computing surface integrals of vector fields. This paper introduces an approach for the computation of integral surfaces in vector fields and obtains a generalized mathematical expression based on Gauss theorem. Moreover, the computation time is investigated by two classical examples.

The Lagrangian Formulation and Gauge Theory of the Standard Model

Mohammed Ibrahim Abdelgabar, Abdulhamid Yakubu, Mubarak Dirar Abdallah
Study of gauge symmetry is carried over the different interacting and non-interacting field theoretical models through a prescription based on Lagrangian formulation. And the prescription is capable of testing whether a given model possesses a gauge symmetry or not. It can successfully formulate the gauge transformation generator in all the cases whatever subtleties are involved in it. It is found that the prescription has the ability to show a direction how to extend the phase space using auxil...

GGA + U Study of the Optical Properties of LiH

Uko Ofe, Anthony Lordson Amana, Nsed A. Akonjom
In this paper, the optical properties of Lithium hydride (LiH), in rocksalt structure, with space group, Fm3m, in cubic (FCC) system, have been discussed. The theoretical background of the relation between the dielectric function, and, other optical constants has been examined. The real and imaginary parts of the dielectric function have also been scrutinized. The consequences of the exchange correlation potentials (GGA and GGA U) applied to the absorption peaks and edges of the compound have ...

GGA + U Approximation: An Improved Density Functional Theory of Optical Properties of CaH2

Uko Ofe, Anthony Lordson Amana, Nsed A. Akonjom
In this paper, the optical properties of CaH2, in orthorhombic structure, with space group, , in crystal system (Co2Si-type) have been investigated carefully. The theoretical milieu of the correlation between the dielectric function with other optical constants has been investigated. The real and the imaginary parts of the dielectric function have besides, been inspected accurately. The outcome of the exchange correlation potentials implemented (GGA and GGA U) to the abso...
