Producción de carbón activado a partir de carbón subbituminoso en reactores de lecho fluidizado por proceso autotérmico

Abstract: El presente trabajo se basa en el estudio de la producción de carbón activado a partir de carbón mineral subbituminoso en un reactor de lecho fluidizado por proceso autotérmico. El carbón utilizado provino de la región de Amagá (Antioquia - Colombia) y fue activado en dos reactores de lecho fluidizado de diferente diámetro interno, 10 cm y 22 cm. Los valores del área superficial específica y el volumen de poro de las muestras activadas fueron determinados a partir de las isotermas de N2 y CO2. Los resultados experimentales mostraron que los valores de áreas superficiales BET y DR y del índice de Yodo se encontraron alrededor de 460 m2/g (SBET), 490 m2/g (SDR) y 460 mg I2/g carbón.

Abstract: macro and microscopy analyzes on the pyloric caeca of the species mylossoma acanthogaster, m. duriventre, m. aureum, pygocentrus cariba and cynopotamus venezuelae were performed. the specimens were captured in locations of the catatumbo, orinoco, apure and cunaviche rivers in venezuela. p. cariba showed the bigger number of pyloric caeca varying with number from 14 to 34; the other studied species had a number in between, while c. venezuelae showed the smaller number varying from 9 to 11 caeca. histologically from the lumen to the most external layer, the mucosa is formed by long and deep folds covered by single cylindrical epithelial tissue with caliciform cells, striated sheets; the submucosa is conformed by lax conjunctive tissue; the musculature consists of three strata of muscular fibers, except in m. aureum which has only two strata and the serous formed by a simple epithelial plane. the histomorphology of the pyloric caeca of these species is similar to that of the majority of teleosts.
OBTENCIóN DE BIOCOMBUSTIBLES PRODUCTO DE LA PIROLISIS RáPIDA DE RESIDUOS DE PALMA AFRICANA (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)

Abstract: biofuels were obtained by fast pyrolysis of palm oilwastes (elaeis guineensis jacq.) in a free fall reactor. previously, palm oil wastes were dried and sieved and then were fed to the reactor. as pyrolysis products, char, non-condensable gas and bio-oil, a condensed liquid composed by alcohols, carboxylic acids, alkanes and aromatics, were obtained. the experiments were carried out at temperature range 500-700°c. the highest bio-oil yield, 23.3%, was obtained at 600°c. the gas compositional analysis showed co2,720%, h0,703 % , ch1,289%, co 22 4 2,472 % and n2 for the non-condensable gas produced at 600°c. the highest gas yield was obtained at 700°c but bio-oil yield was 14.9%. results indicate that temperature has an important effect on the product yields and composition. a future step will be an economical analysis in order to evaluate the possibility of using non-condensable gas as energy source for pyrolysis reactor.

Abstract: this work is based on the activated carbon production from coal by physical activation in a fluidized bed reactor by an autothermal process (without an external energy source). coal from amagá region (antioquia - colombia ) was activated in two fluidized reactors, 10 and 22 cm of diameter. the specific surface area and pore volumes values were determined by gas adsorption of n2 and co2. experimental results revealed that the bet and dr surface areas and iodine number values oscillated near to 460 m2/g (sbet), 490 m2/g (sdr) y 460 mg i2/g carbon.
