Dr. Khalid Raza is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi, India. He obtained his Bechelors and Masters degree in Computer Applications, cleared UGC-NET-JRF conducted by University Grants Commissin (UGC), India and joined the Department of Computer Science in the year 2010. He completed his PhD in the area of Soft Computing and Computational Biology from Jamia Millia Islamia in 2014. The title of his PhD thesis was "Soft Computing Approach for Modeling Biological Networks". He has contributed over 15 research articles in refereed international journals, conference proceedings and as book chapters. He has received grants for two Govt. funded research projects and working as Principal Investigator. He is recipient of Indian Academy of Sciences Faculty Summer Research Fellowship and worked at IIT Bombay. He is reviewer of several international journals, member of several conference review committees. He is an Life Member of Computer Society of India (CSI), Life Member of Soft Computing Research Society , Member of Academy and Industry Research Collaboration Centre (AIRCC), Regular Member of Machine Intelligence Research (MIR) Lab., and Regular Member of Indian Science Congress Association . He has delivered several invited talks in conferences/workshops. He has also worked as "International Contibutor" for book "Java: How to Program" by Deitel and Deitel, International Edition, Pearson.
