%X arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia: a case report and review of the literature arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia is characterized by atrophy, myocardial fibrofatty replacement and ventricular arrhythmias. the case of a 54-year- old woman with fatal cardiogenic shock and a pathological diagnosis of arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia is presented. the clinical characteristics, diagnosis and management of this potentially lethal, and still poorly understood, cardiopathy are discussed.
