%0 Journal Article %T Colecistectom¨ªa videolaparosc¨®pica de urgencia en el paciente geri¨¢trico %A Almaguer Orges %A Noel %A Pe£¿a Pupo %A Nerza Enid %A Rodr¨ªguez Pascual %A Yasm¨ªn %A Pe£¿a P¨¦rez %A Carlos Rafael %A Batista Feria %A Rosell %A Pupo Carracedo %A Ranier Nelson %J Revista Cubana de Cirug£¿-a %D 2011 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X objective: to describe the behavior of patients aged 60 and more underwent to videolaparoscopy emergency cholecystectomy. methods: a retrospective, longitudinal and descriptive study was conducted in 91 patients aged 60 and more underwent to such procedure from january, 2001 to december, 2008 in the general service of "luc¨ªa i£¿iguez land¨ªn" hospital of holgu¨ªn province. results: elderlies were the 26 % of patients underwent to this procedure and more than 70 % correspondent to the third age group (60-75 years) with predominance of female sex. the 21.9 % of patients had associated diseases where the high blood pressure was the more frequent one. the intervention time was of 60 min in the 70.3 % of patients; the conversion rate was of 6.5 %, morbidity was of 3.2 % and mortality was of 1 %. conclusions: emergency videolaparoscopy cholecystectomy in elderly may be successfully done. %K videolaparoscopy cholecystectomy %K elderly %K acute cholecystitis. %U http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0034-74932011000400012&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
