%X this review summarizes the usefulness of transcranial doppler (tcd) for the assessment of subarachnoid hemorrhage in the setting of a stroke unit. the basic hemodynamic principles are presented. we discuss the accuracy, the advantages and limitations of the tcd and the interpretation methods.
