%0 Journal Article %T Estudo das limita£¿£¿es impostas ao amortecimento de oscila£¿£¿es eletromecanicas pelos zeros da FTMA de controladores suplementares %A Moura %A Ricardo Frangiosi de %A Furini %A Marcos Amorielle %A Araujo %A Percival Bueno de %J Sba: Controle & Automa£¿£¿o Sociedade Brasileira de Automatica %D 2012 %I Sociedade Brasileira de Autom¨¢tica %R 10.1590/S0103-17592012000200006 %X the main objective of this work is to analyze the influence of different input signals for supplementary damping controller (pod - power oscillation damping) on the location and control of facts devices upfc (unified power flow controller), in order to damp low frequency oscillations in electric power system (eps). will analyze three input signals, two signals available locally (electric current and power flow in upfc line installation) and a remote signal (angular velocity). to this purpose, the power sensitivity model (psm) is used to represent the eps. in the usual way, a sensitivity analysis, using the residue method, provides the location for installation of the upfc/pod and the procedure for setting the parameters of the controller to damp a pole of interest. however, it will be shown in this work due to the proximity of a zero to an eigenvalue of interest, the largest residue does not necessarily provide the best location for all upfc / pod, as observed more frequently in local signals. comparative analyses of efficiency of input signals to the pod are presented to the new england system with 10 generators, 39 buses and 46 transmission lines. %K small-signal stability %K supplementary stabilizers %K facts %K electric power system %K upfc %K zeros. %U http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0103-17592012000200006&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
