%X this paper aims at resuming the debate on popular education as a theme and, at the same time, action strategy relevant to the job and professional training of social workers, because while it seems to have been submerged in the theoretical and professional debate due to the ebbing flow of the social movements, it is present in the field work of these professionals, especially because this educational paradigm aims at contributing to the process of awareness and mobilization of the social subjects.
