%0 Journal Article %T Mujeres en educaci¨®n y trabajo en Venezuela: Un largo recorrido que no termina %A Mart¨ªnez V¨¢squez %A Emma D %J Revista Venezolana de Estudios de la Mujer %D 2010 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the main objective of this paper is to present the ideas obtained from the study and understanding on the history about the mind from the women and to the women in the light of changes in economic and social structure that are configured from 1840 to around 2007, specifically as it pertains to education and employment. this is a process that spans more than a century in the history of women and so it moves on an axis: the relationship between public and private spaces. changes on this dichotomy are achieved by the fourth decade of the twentieth century, the female presence in the venezuelan education from 1870 to today. beginning the twentieth century, the alienation of women from public spaces is an undeniable fact, besides its incorporation to the university, and that would then occur as a slower but constant process. however the women have not achieved total equality and above all, in most cases they fail to reach the decision-making arenas of power exercise and of social, political, cultural, scientific and technical aknowledgement. %K women %K education %K work %K social %K civil and political rights. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1316-37012010000100008&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
