%0 Journal Article %T Teor¨ªa feminista y teor¨ªa antropol¨®gica %A Vargas Arenas %A Iraida %J Revista Venezolana de Estudios de la Mujer %D 2008 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X feminist scholars virtually have used all the anthropological theoretical traditions order to understand the nature of gender in social life. but the production of anthropological knowledge on women is not neutral due to the sexist distortion expressed by many authors who are treating research as objects without subjects without emotions and values. nevertheless, anthropological research in general has failed on incorporating the feminine as a central component of the discipline. this article exposes the way in which a more solid theoretical understanding of the feminine problem, as it has been addressed by marxist feminist anthropologists, would allow to theorize about the various forms of inequality, their relationships, the interaction of different inequality systems, and it will increase our consideration of social life as a whole, especially in countries as venezuela where poverty feminization is a fact and where social participation in equal conditions is a constitutional right for every citizen. %K anthropological theory %K feminist theory %K historical materialism. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1316-37012008000100002&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
