%0 Journal Article %T S¨ªndrome DRESS inducido por f¨¢rmacos anti tuberculosis %A Castagnino %A Jorge Pedro %A Musella %A Rosa Mar¨ªa %A Palmero %A Domingo %J Revista americana de medicina respiratoria %D 2011 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X we present four patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and severe adverse reactions to antituberculosis drugs. these patients had skin rash, hepatitis, eosinophilia, fever, and one of them had renal failure; all these signs conform the diagnosis of dress syndrome. this syndrome is caused by a severe hypersensitivity reaction to different drugs. it is usually caused by anticonvulsants, sulfonamides, some antiviral drugs, among others drugs. anti-tuberculosis drugs can also cause this potentially fatal syndrome. the importance of surveillance for early detection and treatment of adverse drug reactions is emphasized. %K adverse drug reactions %K dress %K eosinophilia %K tuberculosis. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1852-236X2011000300007&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
