%X The European Parliament is one of the most important institutions of the European Union. One of its main tasks is to represent the citizens of the European Union. The representation power of a state depends on its population. Unfortunately the number of inhabitants of states is distinguished by wide dispersion and the most popular methods based on the simple proportionality cannot be used in the European Parliament seats allotment. Therefore, different from proportional method is used - "the degressive proportionality method".
