%X The data obtained in the Dadu River Estuary during Sep.in 2010 was analyzed for understanding the distribution features of phytoplankton and its relations with the environmental factors.Total 6 phylum,61 genera and 127 species of phytoplankton were identified.The main species were Melosira varians,Fragilaria capucina,Synedra acus,Gomphonema constrictum and Oscillatoria tenuis.The phytoplankton density ranged from 102 960 to 290 160 ind./L,and the phytoplankton biomass ranged from 0.0772 to 1.9717 mg/L.According to cluster analysis,the habitat of Dadu River Estuary was divided into 5 categories.The phytoplankton species composition and biomass distribution had close relationship with the habitat type,while the phytoplankton and water quality factors had no significant relationship.
