%X Aconitum is an important Chinese materia medica (CMM). But in Yunnan province, the original plants of Aconitum are Aconitum vilmorinianum Komarov and Aconitum austroyunnanense W.T. Wang., which are different from the Aconitum kusnezoffii Reichb in northern part of China. On the basis of investigation, it showed that the current problem of Yunnan medicinal Aconitum is the lack of superior provenance, immaturity of rapid reproduction technology, low cultivation standardization, small manufacture scale and etc. This paper presented that the development should take the government as its driving force, high quality as its development core, the GAP as its basis in order to develop relevant strategies of Yunnan Aconitum industry.
