%X The effect of addition of complexing agent in the plating bath was studied on the deposition rate,the composition and the surface morphology of the direct-electroless-plated Ni-P alloys on AZ31D magnesium alloy.Then the optimal parameters were obtained.The result showed that direct electroless plating of Ni-P alloys on AZ31D magnesium alloy may be realized with this process.The morphology of the plated coating was bright with good adherence to the substrate alloy.The microhardness of the plated coating was much higher than that of AZ31D magnesium alloy.
