%X Imidazoline and its derivatives are one of corrosion inhibitors which have been successfully used for metal corrosion control. The recent researches about the inhibition mechanism of corrosion inhibitors and the related molecular simulation are reviewed in this paper, including quantum chemical study on structure-activity relationship of molecular, molecular simulation of corrosion inhibitor/metal interface and inhibition mechanism of inhibitors in different corrosive media etc. Finally, development directions of imidazoline corrosion inhibitors are discussed.
