%X Dry/wet climate zoning is an important part of climatology, geography, ecology, and agriculture.?Since 1900, great progresses in grading of dry/wet climate and indexes for dry/wet climate zoning and their calculating methods have been achieved by scholars at home and abroad. In this article, the achievements in scientific research in recent more than 100 years were summarized, including indexes for dry/wet climate zoning, calculating methods of reference evapotranspiration, and grading of dry/wet climate zoning and their naming methods. The existing scientific issues for this subject were put forward.
