The entropy weight extension decision model includes building system of assessing factors, setting up field of the factors for classifying soil-water resources carrying capacity, constructing entropy weight extension decision model, etc. The results showed that six districts in the southwest Chongqing were overloading or in a overloading trend, 3 districts were full-load or in a full-load trend, 7 districts were balancing-load or in a balancing-load trend, and 6 districts were coordinating-load or in a coordinating-load trend. The study results illustrated that the influencing factors of soil-water resources carrying capacity included the amount of water resource per capita, the rate of waste water discharge, cultivated land per capita, etc. The study is helpful in promoting the exploitation and utilization of regional soil-water resources in the Three Gorges Reservoir Region of Chongqing, and provides a new soil-water resource carrying capacity evaluation method that can be used in other areas similar to Chongqing. %K soil-water resources %K carrying capacity %K extension %K entropy weight method %K the Three Gorges Reservoir Region of Chongqing
