%X Con la llegada de la democracia se establecen los servicios deportivos en los ayuntamientos. Desde su inicio hasta la actualidad, han experimentado una r芍pida evoluci車n, donde han influido una serie factores deportivos y sociales. Esta investigaci車n tiene como objetivo analizar y comparar las caracter赤sticas estructurales de los servicios deportivos de Andaluc赤a y Catalu a y las relaciones que mantienen con otras entidades, determinando posteriormente qu谷 procesos han dado lugar a la situaci車n observada en las dos comunidades aut車nomas. El trabajo emp赤rico se realiz車 mediante una encuesta cara a cara estandarizada contestada por un t谷cnico deportivo de los ayuntamientos mayores de 30.000 habitantes, que conten赤a preguntas relacionadas con las caracter赤sticas de los servicios deportivos municipales. Se ha optado por la recopilaci車n total de casos en cinco provincias de Andaluc赤a y dos de Catalu a, analizando un total de 49 municipios. Con el an芍lisis descriptivo de los datos se han observado diferentes realidades en el tipo de gesti車n de los servicios deportivos (monitorizaci車n, socorrismo, limpieza, etc.), recursos econ車micos, cultura de la organizaci車n, dotaci車n y gesti車n de instalaciones deportivas, sostenibilidad y relaciones con otras entidades. La interpretaci車n de los resultados explora los posibles procesos que han podido afectar en la situaci車n observada, tales como la influencia de las caracter赤sticas sociales, econ車micas, demogr芍ficas y pol赤ticas de cada regi車n sobre el sistema deportivo y la evoluci車n que ha experimentado el deporte en cada comunidad.Abstract With the arrival of the Spanish democracy, sport services began to be established in the municipalities. They experienced a rapid evolution influenced by sporting and social factors. The article analyses and compares the structural characteristics of municipal sport services in Andalusia and Catalonia and the relationship with its stakeholders. Besides it interprets the reasons of the analyzed situation. The research has been conducted on the basis of a standardized questionnaire answered by the person responsible of sport in the municipalities bigger than 30.000 inhabitants, 49 in total. The results show different realities regarding type of management, economical resources, organizational culture, sport facilities, environmental sensibility and relationship with the stakeholders The interpretation of results explores the possible processes that have affected the observed situation, such as the influence of the social, economic, demographic and policies of each region on the sports syst
