%X Professional experience and contact with experts reveal a pressing problem in the field of knowledge and management of architectural heritage: the tendency to scatter the information obtained from the different areas 每administration, scientific community and professionals of architecture每 and disciplines involved 每archaeologists, historians, architects, etc.每, causing serious problems of data loss or duplication. That reality has produced lack of efficiency in planning and implementing the various activities of maintenance and intervention in these architectures, as well as wastage of important investigative work. Such circumstances obstruct disclosure and, therefore, knowledge of heritage. As a possible solution to that problem, this article describes an experience that aims to lay the groundwork for building a tool that, based on computer models, is able to contain and manage the information generated about a historical monument, facilitating cross-cutting relationships between different analysis that address the knowledge of the building. In this case, the analysis of the construction and conservation of one of the buildings of the archaeological site of Italica forms the data base of this tool still in gestation, thus establishing the basic knowledge for its management and conservation. La experiencia profesional y el contacto con especialistas en la materia ponen de manifiesto una problem芍tica acuciante en el terreno del conocimiento y gesti車n del patrimonio arquitect車nico: la tendencia a la dispersi車n de la informaci車n obtenida desde los distintos 芍mbitos 每administraci車n, comunidad cient赤fica y profesionales de la arquitectura每 y disciplinas intervinientes 每arque車logos, historiadores, arquitectos, etc.每, generando graves situaciones de p谷rdidas o duplicidades de datos. Esa realidad ha revertido en la falta de eficiencia en la programaci車n y ejecuci車n de las diversas actividades de mantenimiento, conservaci車n e intervenci車n en estas arquitecturas, as赤 como en el despilfarro de importantes labores investigadoras que dificulta la divulgaci車n y, por tanto, el conocimiento de las mismas. Como posible soluci車n a dicha problem芍tica este art赤culo describe una experiencia que pretende establecer las bases para la construcci車n de una herramienta que, basada en un modelo infogr芍fico, sea capaz de contener y gestionar toda la informaci車n generada sobre un monumento hist車rico, facilitando relaciones de transversalidad entre los distintos an芍lisis que abordan el conocimiento del edificio.
