Today, elastomeric plated jersey fabric is one of the mostcommon fabrics produced with large-diametercircular knitting machine (LCKM). However, therelation between elastane proportion and fabriccharacteristics has not been enough studied inliterature and knitters generally use experienceduring machines adjustments in to order reachneeded fabric characteristics. The aim of this paperwas to investigate the relation between Lycra consumption and fabric dimensional and elasticbehavior. The obtained results showed that Lycra proportion inside fabric has an incidence on fabricwidth, weight and elasticity. The origin of thisbehaviour has been discussed. %U http://www.jeffjournal.org/papers/Volume4/4.4b4_Abdessalem.pdf
