%X In this paper the authors present an approach of reliability to analyze lead-acid battery¡¯s degradation. The construction of causal tree analysis offers a framework privileged to the deductive analysis which consists in seeking the various possible combinations of events leading to the loss of batteries capacity. The description of the causality chain is completed by a fault tree analysis (FTA) established from the equivalent electric circuit of battery.
