Steady development is one of the main factors of providing competitiveness for an enterprise which functions under conditions of vagueness and dynamic external surroundings. That is why the management of steady development is an important condition of efficiency of domestic industry vital functions of enterprises. One of the problems of steady development is a considerable number of indexes which are necessary to take into account during research of steady development. It is, therefore, necessary, to set aggregate indexes involved in enterprise activity and external influence on it. Afterwards it is recommended to define the most influential indexes. We suggest that making recommendations concerning steady development of an enterprise should be substantiated on basis of two rates of detailed elaboration. On the first level of detailed elaboration high quality recommendations, which are ensuring out of the indexes of steady development of an enterprise, are sufficient. During detailed elaboration it is necessary to take into account quantitative descriptions. Methods of management by steady development are offered on basis of: observance existent development strategy, limitation of steady development, and prevention of violation of the steady development. Application of these methods accordingly gives an opportunity to reproduce the indexes of steady development in the future it reached in the past; is leading to the fact that in the future activity of an enterprise there will be no situations, which result in violation of steady development; gives a chance not only to preserve steady development as a management strategy but also to prevent the decline of its indexes. %K steady development %K management methods %K criterion %K mechanism of steady development management %K part indices %U http://www.ed.ksue.edu.ua/ER/knt/ee122_62/e122sma.pdf
