%X A rela  o entre pai e filho(s), ap¨®s a separa  o conjugal, ¨¦ um tema que ¨¦ discutido na atualidade em decorr¨ºncia das novas configura  es familiares. Em virtude dessa realidade, foi realizado um estudo com o objetivo de compreender a rela  o entre o pai e seus filhos ap¨®s o t¨¦rmino do casamento. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida sob a abordagem qualitativa e teve car¨¢ter explorat¨®rio. Participaram do estudo quatro pais separados conjugalmente e que n o possuem a guarda dos filhos. Os dados, por sua vez, foram colhidos por meio de entrevistas. Os depoimentos dos participantes do estudo foram analisados pela t¨¦cnica de An¨¢lise de Conte¨²do, cujo princ¨ªpio b¨¢sico ¨¦ investigar, pela descri  o objetiva, sistem¨¢tica e qualitativa, o conte¨²do que ¨¦ comunicado. Como resultados, no estudo apontam-se as novas organiza  es sociais na fam¨ªlia, nas quais os pais t¨ºm se mostrado mais participativos e envolvidos com os filhos, dispondo-se a investir mais na rela  o entre ambos. Contudo, foi poss¨ªvel perceber que a separa  o conjugal gera conflitos e sentimentos nesses pais: ang¨²stia, frustra  o e exclus o, mas, apesar disso, esse fato pode possibilitar uma reconstru  o afetiva entre pai e filhos, fortalecendo sua rela  o. Abstract The relationship between father and children after divorce has been broadly discussed in the last years due to the new family configurations. To address this issue, an exploratory qualitative study was conducted in order to understand such relationship. The research involved four legally divorced men, that do not have custody of the children, and data were collect from interviews. Testimonials were submitted to the Content Analysis technique, which is used to investigate messages through the objective, systematic and qualitative description. The results showed the new social organizations of the genus relationships, where fathers showed to be more participative and connected with their kids, and are also disposed to invest more in such relationship. It was observed that the present study showed that the legal dissolution of a marriage incites awful conflicts for fathers, like distress, frustration and exclusion, but nevertheless, this fact makes possible a reconstruction of affection between father and children, strengthening the relationship.
