%X Peter Singer estabelece um princ¨ªpio ¨¦tico para fundar a igualdade entre os seres sencientes humanos e n o humanos. Suas reflex es sobre o Princ¨ªpio de Igual Considera  o de Interesses Semelhantes e suas implica  es pr¨¢ticas, no entanto, desafiam a compreens o da ¨¦tica tradicional ao defender os animais como membros da comunidade moral, a moralidade do aborto, do infantic¨ªdio e da eutan¨¢sia. O presente artigo procura, atrav¨¦s de uma revis o da bibliografia, reconstruir a argumenta  o de Singer, especificamente no livro ¨¦tica Pr¨¢tica, para apreciar o alcance desse princ¨ªpio na ¨¦tica. Abstract Peter Singer establishes an ethical principle to found the equality between sentient human and non-human beings. His reflections on the principle of equal consideration of similar interests and their practical implications, however, challenge the understanding of traditional ethics to defend the animals as members of the moral community, the morality of abortion, infanticide and euthanasia. This article seeks, through a revision of the bibliography, rebuild the argumentation of Singer, specifically in the book Pratical Ethics, to assess the scope of this principle in ethics.
