The role of leadership style in ensuring the effective functioning of the organization isanalysed. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between a manager and a subordinate, amanager and a team, as leadership is a link penetrating all administrative processes at theenterprise. The results of the research of the factors influencing the choice of leadership style aregiven. The advantages and disadvantages of different management styles are described. Theproblem of determining the values in effective managerial leadership qualities developing is underconsideration. Some approaches regarding the definition of the term "management style" arepresented.
