Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje %X The police seen as an organizational system are unimaginable without direction and leadership. The direction itself as a specific way of guidance in tasks¡¯ performance from a higher to a lower level and with a certain level of complexity and execution represents dialectical unity and a consistent proces. The modern approach puts more emphasis on the positioned power and authority as a traditional way of imposing influence over police. It enables a series of steps or direction of the actions towards the defined aim¡¯s achievement.The paper is a critical review on the process of direction over police as a specific trait of the police¡¯s overal function.
