%X Owing to the wide range applications of ¦Â-enamino esters (enamines of ¦Â¨Cdicarbonyl compounds) in pharmaceuticals and as building blocks for the synthesis of a variety of heterocyclic compounds, ¦Â-amino esters, ¦Â-amino acids, ¦Ã-amino alcohols, peptides and alkaloids a number of methods have been developed so far for the synthesis of these compounds. Due to the importance of these compounds as intermediates in organic synthesis, a concised review is presented.
