We propose and demonstrate a cost-effective full duplex WDM-PON architecture using a single Mach-Zehnder Modulator for downstream transmitter. A Return-to-Zero Differential Phase Shift Keying (RZ-DPSK) data signal is used for downstream while the downstream signal is re-modulated for upstream signal using an ON-OFF Keying (OOK) data signal at symmetric data rate of 10-Gbps.
