With the lapse of time this phenomenon was transformed and in epic creativity. Comparing in typological aspect eposes of Turkic and Scandinavian people, we make sure of this. So, in the Icelandic epos "The Senior Edda" and "The Younger Edda", in the sagas connected with Icelandic epic hero Kjuhil, as well as in many Turkic epos including "The Book of Dede-Qorgut", "Manas", "Black Maday" and others this motive is widely used. The research considers various kinds of divination. The main research subjects are predictions or fortune telling.
