%X En la industria de la confecci車n se observan las estrategias de deslocalizaci車n de las empresas transnacionales hacia pa赤ses perif谷ricos y especialmente la dirigida hacia los espacios rurales. Ello obedece a la b迆squeda del incremento de sus utilidades, con cargo a las condiciones laborales de los trabajadores. La investigaci車n se realiz車 en dos municipios rurales del estado de Puebla, se aplicaron cuarenta (40) entrevistas con el objetivo de analizar las condiciones laborales de los trabajadores de la maquila industrial, taller y taller domiciliario. Los resultados indican que los trabajadores son j車venes y con estudios superiores a la primaria. Las condiciones laborales en los tres tipos de maquila no son adecuadas, pero en la industrial se presentan mejores salarios y prestaciones sociales. Se concluye que la flexibilizaci車n del trabajo en el medio rural mantiene a los trabajadores sin protecci車n en materia de sus derechos laborales. In the garment industry, the strategies used by transnational corporations of relocating toward peripheral countries and, especially, toward rural areas can be clearly observed. Their purpose is to increase profits at the expense of the workers. Research was conducted in two rural municipalities in the State of Puebla. Forty (40) people were interviewed in order to analyze the conditions for workers in industrial assembly plants, workshops, and home workshops. Results indicate that the workers are young with an educational level above elementary school. Working conditions in the three types of assembly plants are inadequate, but there are better wages and social benefits in the industrial version. Conclusions are that flexible work schedules in rural areas keep the workers unprotected in terms of their labor rights.
