%0 Journal Article %T Synthesis of N-((2-Substituted Phenyl)-4, 5-Diphenyl-1H-Imidazol-1yl)(Phenyl)Methyl) substituted amine derivatives, spectral characterization and their pharmacological evaluation %A Kumari Shalini %A Nitin Kumar %A Pramod Kumar Sharma %J Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry %D 2011 %I Comporter SRL %X A series of N-((2-substituted phenyl) -4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazol-1yl)(phenyl)methyl) substituted amine derivatives TPI (I-V) were synthesized by 2-substituted 4,5-diphenyl imidazole derivatives starting from benzyl and aromatic aldehyde. All these compounds were characterized by IR, 1HNMR, mass and elemental analysis. The newly synthesized compounds were screened for analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities by hot plate and carrageenan induced rat paw oedema methods.
