%X Analysis of highfloods frequency on rivers in Romanian Plain between Olt and Arge . The study of the highfloods frequency on rivers in the considered region was done by using data recorded in 12 hydrological stations for 39 year (1970-2009). The analysis considered monthly, hourly, genesis and the intensity of the highflood. The main results are: the most highfloods are specific to the central part of the area under study; in terms of duration of the event, the floods between 50 and 150 hours cover the highest frequency; considering the distribution during the year, the most numerous floods are specific to March and February.
