%X The article provides a commentary and a new critical edition of the anonymous Catalan poem ˇ°Ab lo cor trist, envirollat dˇŻesmayˇ±, a lament composed around the second half of the 14th century (even though the presence of lyrical and Italian caesuras might lead to advance the dating). This poem, composed in a female voice for the death of a lover, makes use, though with some interesting variations, of all the major topoi typical of the Occitan 'planh'. The analysis focuses on two controversial verses (19-20) for which a new interpretation is proposed.
