%0 Journal Article %T Developing an attitude scale assessment and evaluation and analyzing of social studies teachers attitude levels in terms of several variables %A H¨¹seyin £¿al£¿£¿kan %A Kubilay Yaz£¿c£¿ %J International Journal of Human Sciences %D 2013 %I International Journal of Human Sciences %X This research was made with the aim to develop an ¡°Attitude Scale for Assessment and Evaluation¡± to determine teachers¡¯ attitudes towards assessment and evaluation, besides it is aimed to put forth If the social studies teachers¡¯ attitude levels are differed or not in terms of variables ¡°gender¡±, ¡°age¡±, ¡°seniority¡± and ¡°settlement¡±. The 549 social studies teachers from all provinces of Turkey who joined to in-service training seminars organized by the Ministry of National Education constitute the study group. As a result of research, the scale consisted of 22 items and three factors. As a result of scale measurements, it is identified that social studies teachers¡¯ attitude levels are not high enough towards assessment and evaluation and there is not a differentiation according to the variables ¡°gender¡±, ¡°age¡±, ¡°Professional level of seniority¡± and ¡°the settlement of the task¡±. %K Social Studies Teachers %K Assessment and Evaluation %K Attitude %K Scale Development %U http://www.insanbilimleri.com/ojs/index.php/uib/article/view/2535/1068
