%X Deixis are evidently the linguistic instruments most suited for connecting language withcontext. Their strictly semantic contextualization does not suffice, as the study of deixis isparticularly connected with the pragmatic approach. Personal deixis are linguistic units whichwork according to the actors¡¯ role and to the spatiotemporal placement of the speakers. Weconsider that a pragmatic analysis of personal deixis within the framework of Marin Sorescu¡¯sdramatic discourse can best emphasize the relationship established between the language inSorescu¡¯s plays and the communicational context of the characters.
