%X When a translator performs interlinguistic transfer s/he must depend on a series ofcompetences to perform the task at hand as best as possible. One of these competences isdocumentary competence (access to information resources and their use).In this article we present traditional documentary resources, highlighting theirlimitations and then discuss the new technologies available for translators in the fields ofcommunication, information and linguistics.
