%X Mar赤a Sacama, Kuraka of the andamarkas (1600-1641) This paper studies the fundamental and dominant role played by the kuraka of theLukana andamarkas (Ayacucho), Mar赤a Sacama, during the seventeenth century After the death of her husband, taking advantage of the confusing coloniallegislation, she took charge of the political, administrative and economic affairs ofhis chiefdom. Therefore, it is proposed that the role of women was vital and validwithin colonial society El presente trabajo estudia el rol preponderante y fundamental que ejerci車 la kuraka de los Lukana andamarkas (Ayacucho), Mar赤a Sacama, durante el siglo XVII. Donde, tras la muerte de su esposo, aprovechando la confusa legislaci車n virreinal asumi車 los asuntos pol赤ticos, administrativos y econ車micos de su curacazgo. Por ello, se propone que el papel de la mujer fue de vital importancia y vigente dentro de la sociedad virreinal
