This system addresses theproblem of healthcare associated infections mainly caused bylack of hand hygiene among clinicians and costs $35.7-$45billion annually in direct medical costs to the U.S hospitals alone.AHHDRS works by creating ultrasonic hotspots with uniqueIdentifier which can be ultrasonically tagged into the wirelessTag based on clinicianĄ¯s movement among hotspots. Correctmovement of the clinicians with Tag among the Wash zone/Bedzone hot spots ensures hand hygiene compliance. Tagaccumulates the compliance data and periodically transfers it tothe wireless reader through 915MHz RF link. Wireless readerconsolidates compliance data from Tags in its vicinity and sendsit to hand hygiene server through Wi-Fi link. Hand hygieneserver processes and reports compliance data and stores forfuture reference. %K AHHDRS %K Wireless Tag %K Ultrasonic front endWireless Reader %U http://www.ijiee.org/papers/255-L0024.pdf
