%0 Journal Article %T Modeling and Optimization of a Photovoltaic Generator with Matlab/Simulink %A Mr. Ahmd Yahfdhou %A Prof. Abel Kader Mahmoud %A Prof. Abel Kader Mahmoud %J International Journal of Innovative Technology and Exploring Engineering %D 2013 %I IJITEE %X The output power of a photovoltaic generator isrelated to many climatic factors like temperature and solarillumination; it is then necessary to track the maximum powerpoint in real time to optimize the photovoltaic system efficiency.This work presents the modeling of a photovoltaic system with amaximum power point tracking (MPPT).The operating of the photovoltaic system and the improvementof its efficiency taking into account rapid variations ofmeteorological conditions is presented with a MPPT based onperturb and observe (P&O) strategy, both implemented usingMatlab.
