Thermal energy storage is an advances technology for storing thermal energy that can mitigate environmental impacts and facilitate more efficient and clean energy systems. Seasonal thermal energy storage has a longer thermal storage period, generally three or more months. This can contribute significantly to meeting society`s need for heating and cooling. The objectives of thermal energy storage systems are to store solar heat collected in summer for space heating in winter. This concept is not new; it is been used and developed for centuries because is playing an important role in energy conservation and contribute significantly to improving the energy efficiency and reducing the gas emissions to the atmosphere. %K Seasonal sensible thermal energy storage %K Thermal energy storage %K Heat storage %K Underground Thermal Energy Storage (UTES) %K Aquifer %K Hot-Water %K Gravel-Water %K Borehole %U http://lejpt.academicdirect.org/A20/049_068.pdf
