Kaur %J International Journal of Mathematical Analysis %D 2013 %I %X In this paper, an analysis is presented about the effect of bi-parabolic temperaturevariations on mechanical vibrations of non-homogeneous rectangular plate whichis clamped along the boundary. It is considered that thickness of plate varieslinearly in x direction. Also, exponential variation in poisson ratio is taken due tonon-homogeneity present in plate¡¯s material. The governing differential equationis solved by the Rayleigh-Ritz method to calculate first two modes of frequenciesfor different values of taper constant, thermal gradient, aspect ratio and nonhomogeneityconstant.
