%X This article offers a critical survey of two minor medieval historiographical genres in the Iberian Peninsula: regnal lists and annals. Covering the various traditions within Iberia, it aims to reconstruct their evolution and meaning. For the regnal lists, it tries to identify the different redactions and to establish the relationship among the extant manuscripts, exploring its influence and its uses in Oviedo, Le¨®n, N¨¢jera, Compostela and Catalu a. The study of annals includes as well all the Iberian traditions, and brings new data and perspectives for rethinking their evolution and contexts. Some concluding remarks are intended to connect this research with the general development of the writing of history inmedieval Spain.
