%X The current educational conditions under which teaching of subject technology takes place, represented as technical education on the level ISCED 2A, are not best suited. As one of the biggest negatives is that the scope of the curriculum is not commensurate with the allocated teaching time, which has bad affect on the level of acquired knowledge and skills of students. We cannot be satisfied with such situation. One of the ways, leading to the improvement of the situation, is educational text usage in content of subject Technology. In this article we mind out results we achieved in research deducted to effectiveness observation of the educational text in the chosen thematic circle of subject Technology, taught in the 7th school year of primary school.S¨˛ asn¨¦ eduka n¨¦ podmienky, v r¨˘mci ktorych sa realizuje vyu ovanie predmetu Technika ako predstavite a technick¨¦ho vzdel¨˘vania na ni  om sekund¨˘rnom stupni, nie s¨˛ najvyhovuj¨˛cej ie. Ako jedno z najv   ¨Şch negat¨Şv vn¨Şmame skuto nos ,  e celkovy rozsah u iva je v nepomere s pridelenou  asovou dot¨˘ciou,  o m¨˘ z¨˘konite nepriaznivy dopad na ¨˛rove¨ľ osvojenych vedomost¨Ş a zru nost¨Ş  iakov. S takymto stavom sa nemo no uspokoji . Za jednu z ciest, ved¨˛cu k zlep eniu vzniknutej situ¨˘cie, pova ujeme vyu itie n¨˘u n¨¦ho textu vo vzdel¨˘vacom obsahu predmetu Technika. V pr¨Şspevku sa bli  ie venujeme vysledkom, ktor¨¦ sme dosiahli vo vyskume zameranom na overenie ¨˛ innosti n¨˘u n¨¦ho textu vo zvolenom tematickom okruhu predmetu Technika, vyu ovan¨¦ho v 7. ro n¨Şku z¨˘kladnych  k l.
