The relationship between architecture and nature and the concept in today¡¯s isolated and artificial environment which has become alienated to the nature and conceptually complicated, and in which the underlying thought is every man-one idea, every man one architectural ideal, is a subject that calls for rigorous analysis. Caria cities of the Antiquity seems to be worth studying both for its impressive geographical structure and the conceptual values that it possesses. Harbours, fortifications and terraces which are closely related to the shaping of nature are reviewed. Possibly the best way to understand the relationship between nature and architecture is to analyse the line a fortification draws over a natural relief or to observe the relation between a terrace wall and contour-lines. These observations show us that the underlying link between architectural elements and nature is site selection. %K Karya %K Yerse imi %K Do a ve Mimarl k %U http://tasarimkuram.msgsu.edu.tr/index.php/tasarimkuram/article/view/124
