Bu de i imler kimi zaman spek¨¹latif denebilecek bir  er evede ele al nmas na ra men,  zellikle yapay zeka (us) ve mobil ileti im temelli ¡°bili im teknolojileri¡±nde halihaz rda g zlenen geli meler, ad  ge en teknolojilerin kentsel ortama olas  etkileri konusunda bizlere, spek¨¹lasyonlar n  tesine ge en, daha kendine g¨¹venli yarg lara varabilece  imiz, kimi ipu lar  da sunmaktad r.  zellikle, ¡° zerk¡± ve ¡°zeki¡± nesnelerden olu an ¡°ak ll  kent¡± kurgular  tatmin edici   z¨¹mler bulunamayan kentsel sorunlar i in ilgin  ve yarat c  olanaklar sunabilecek gibi g z¨¹kmektedir. Keza mobil ileti im de, bilinen etkileri yan s ra kimi kronik kentsel sorunlara yeni ve yarat c    z¨¹m geli tirebilme potansiyelini bar nd rmaktad r. T¨¹m bu teknolojik geli meler, bili im teknolojileri temelli yeni kentsel yap lar ve kent kurgular  ¨¹zerinde d¨¹ ¨¹nmeyi te vik etmektedir. Bu  al  mada, 21. y¨¹zy lda kentleri bi imlendirmesi beklenen  e itli bilgi teknolojilerinin, kentsel ya am ve ortama olas  etkileri tart   lmaktad r. Information and communication technologies will undoubtely be leading determinants of urban landscape in the 21st century. Until the present day, it was assumed that urban landscapes were being shaped by conventional factors such as demography, social and economical structure, transportion, infrastructure, building technologies etc. In spite of many speculative approaches, recent developments in information and communication technologies can offer us some clues which may go beyond mere speculation. The¡°intelligent city¡± which is based on ¡°autonomous¡± and ¡°intelligent¡± objects and agents promising novel solutions to urban problems. Mobile communication is also another promising domain to offer creative solutions to some cronical urban problems. All these novelties provide sufficient reasons to think about new urban structures based upon information technologies.This paper is an attempt to discuss probable effects of information technologies, as new dynamics to shape the urban environment and urban life of the 21st century.
