%X Este trabalho tem o objetivo de tra ar uma revis o sobre os combust¨ªveis utilizados em diferentes processos industriais,com ¨ºnfase nos principais gases da¨ª emitidos. A polui  o do ar causada por tais poluentes exerce grande influ¨ºncia na sa¨²dehumana e em v¨¢rios ecossistemas, pois diariamente s o liberados altas taxas dos mesmos para a atmosfera. H¨¢ alguns anos j¨¢ocorrem discuss es para que haja a minimiza  o dos problemas ambientais, os acordos internacionais est o sendo fundamentaisnesse contexto uma vez que, entre metas bem definidas, encontram-se a substitui  o de combust¨ªveis altamente poluidores. Asfontes alternativas de energia t¨ºm sido a escolha utilizada pelos pa¨ªses, que al¨¦m de ambientalmente corretos, possibilitambenef¨ªcios para as ind¨²strias. Abstract This work reviews the main fuels used inindustrial processes, emphasizing the gases from theseemissions. The air pollution caused by these pollutants has adirect impact over the human health and ecosystems, due toliberation of these gases to the atmosphere at high rates. Forseveral years, discussions about this theme deal theminimization of the environmental problems andinternational agreements have been done focusing onsubstitution of conventional fuels for another ones. Thealternative energy resources has been chosen by theirbenefits.
