%X La producci車n de mapas por parte de los cart車grafos ind赤genas, mestizos y espa oles en los siglos XVI y XVII, es un laboratorio de incre赤ble riqueza para estudiar los efectos pict車ricos que la transformaci車n territorial-administrativa empezada por la conquista tuvo al pasar por la esfera de la creaci車n. En las im芍genes, hoy en el Archivo General de la Naci車n, los pintores locales tuvieron que inventar una nueva forma de visualizar las tierras, los espacios y los paisajes. De esta mina inagotable que es la cartograf赤a colonial de la Nueva Espa a, voy a reflexionar sobre el  paisaje . Los cart車grafos novohispanos renovaron la mirada hacia el territorio inventando soluciones pict車ricas totalmente novedosas respecto a las tradiciones art赤sticas mesoamericanas y europeas. A trav谷s del an芍lisis del horizonte hist車rico y est谷tico propio de estas pinturas 〞que llam谷  el realismo circular 〞 este trabajo se concentrar芍 en analizar algunos mapas donde la tensi車n con la realidad cambiante del territorio tuvo los efectos pict車ricos m芍s pertinentes para enunciar que uno de los or赤genes de la  pintura de paisaje  puede reconocerse adentro de este conjunto tan heterog谷neo de im芍genes. Al final, creo que debemos deshacernos de los campos y los l赤mites disciplinarios tradicionales para producir un enfoque innovador para el estudio de este tipo de im芍genes. The production of maps by native, mestizo and Spanish cartographers during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries represents an extremely rich laboratory for studying the pictorial effects that the territorial-administrative transformation that started with the conquest underwent in the creative arena. In these images, today filed in the General Archive of the Nation, local painters had to invent a new way of visualizing the land, spaces and landscapes. From this eternal mine represented by the New Spain＊s colonial cartography, I will focus on the ※landscape§. New Spain＊s cartographers renewed their insight towards the territory by inventing completely novel pictorial solutions compared to the Mesoamerican and European artistic traditions. Through the analysis of the historical and aesthetic horizon that characterizes these paintings 每 which I denominated ※the circular realism§ 每 this work will focus on analyzing some maps where the tension with the territory＊s changing reality had the most pertinent pictorial effects to propose that one of the origins of ※landscape picture§ can be recognized within this heterogeneous set of images. At the end, I believe we must get rid of the traditional fields and disciplinary limit
