%0 Journal Article %T SECURITY SITUATION IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN TUZLA CANTON %A D£¿evad Mahmutovi£¿ %A Ranko Kova£¿evi£¿ %A Bisera Kalaba %J Human : Research in Rehabilitation %D 2011 %I Institute for Human Rehabilitation %X In this research has been presented an assessment of safety situation in schools, examined through the attitudes of students and teachers of secondary schools in ve municipalities of Tuzla Canton. The sample consisted of 160 subjects, who for the purposes of this research divided in three subsample: male students, female students and professors. The research was conducted as a questionnaire, where on the posted statements subjects chose one of ve responses on the Likert-type scale. The results of the research showed that subjects generally have unfavorable attitudes about security situation in secondary schools, which makes them feel very insecure. By descriptive analysis, besides these attitudes, it was determined that there are certain differences between the subsamples per individual variables. By analysis of variance, about in uence of different status (student-professor) on the subsamples attitudes about safety in schools, it was determined that these differences were not statistically signi cant at the level p <.05 in results for the three subsample (F =.421, p = .245). In relation on manifested negative attitudes about safety in schools, but also the homogeneity of results, in relation on the total sample of subjects, it is necessary to determine an adequate strategy of action, develop appropriate programs for work with students and make their prompt implementation in order to achieve safer living conditions and work in the school environment. %K security %K students %K teachers %K schools. %U http://www.red.co.ba/human/2011vol1/9.pdf
